PORGIES VERY GOOD & BLUES ATTACKING (7/25/10)

This weekend the local porgy fishing remained very good as anglers are easily catching their limits. On Sat. 7/24 Capt. Chris aboard the ISLAND CURRENT II enjoyed Jim Z.`s anual outing for non-stop porgy action. Capt. James and his customers aboard the ISLAND CURRENT III were very pleased with both the size and steady pick of JUMBO SCUP. Capt. Scott reported very good bait fishing for BLUEFISH aboard the ISLAND CURRENT IV with Larry F.`s group. Capt. Brendan skippered the ISLAND CURRENT and found quailty size fluke on every drop on the western slopes.
On Sun. 7/25 the bottom fishing for porgies & sea bass remained very good for both the IC III, IC IV, & IC. Capt. Chris while aboard the ISLAND CURRENT II reported a slow pick of blues in the morning on jigs; however, he found the fish in the afternoon reponding savagely to the fresh bunker on the outgoing tide. Most of the fish were in the 8 to 12 pound range.
We are sailing everyday at 8 AM for the PORGY EXPRESS aboard the ISLAND CURRENT III. These trips return back to port around 4:30 PM.
NIGHT FISHING STRIPED BASS & BLUES 6:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Saturday night 7/24 the entire ISLAND CURRENT FLEET did well on the bluefishing.
