City Island Fishing Reports – Day Fishing & Fishing at Night – Fish Count for Bass, Bluefish & Porgy (Bronx, NY)

CODFISHING REPORT SUN. 1/24/10  (1/25/10)
author: Capt. Chris (captchris@islandcurrent.com)
Yesterday, 1/24/10 the ISLAND CURRENT III departed SNUG HARBOR, RI at 4 AM.  We had a great bunch of guys on board but the fishing slowed down considerably from what we experienced all week as SUPER fishing.  There was a three way tie for high-hook holders, Josh R. had 6 keepers, Frenchy from Brooklyn had 6 keepers, & Rob head mate from the  BIG M EXPRESS had 6 keepers.  Pool fish went to Mr. George Kim from Flushing, NY.  We were fishing 110 feet to 145 feet.  Most of the fish were caught on fresh skimmers.

The next few days look lousy but we are sailing daily as soon as we get a break in the weather.

All tickets can be purchased in advance by calling ZERVE at 212.209.3370 or book the online at www.islandcurrent.com.

NOW TAKING PRIVATE CHARTERS FOR WINTER CODFISHING IN RI and LI SOUND FISHING starting April 1, 2010.  Remember to book early for PRIME DATES!

Tight Lines,

Capt. Chris
